THE 12TH DAY OF REFORMATION 2020 - AFTERMATH

THE 12TH DAY OF REFORMATION 2020 - AFTERMATH

It was on the 12th day, the momentum was high, the hope of achieving the aim of going out was very positive, protesters were trooping to the streets in thousands, history was been made, everyone, I mean everyone that was looking for a dash of hope to change in the country was somehow happy that the youth were doing what many has failed to do or do not have the guts to carry out.

The five for five requests round up to the demand for justice and reformation. Is that too difficult to ask for as a democratic nation? While some are carrying the placard, some are cooking food to give strength, some are praying, some are tweeting for international body for help some are posting on the media, some provided solar charging point for the phone to keep running on the rally ground, some are encouraging, given strategy on how to continue to navigate the steering of the boat of the reformation march.

I was so proud of the new Nigeria evolving, the one that gives room for each other to express themselves the one that did not judge you because of tribe and religion, the one that shows empathy, the one that gave room for your voice to be heard and open arms for instant friendship even when I do not know your origin or where you are coming from. Then the compatriot spirit that makes you start looking out for each other even to the point of death.

Suddenly the Light went out, a force behind the power push the gorilla out and the innocent were taken out. Darkness gloom the heart, gross darkness hijacked the course, the one family, one voice were shut down.

The nation went into mourning, people went in disarray, hope shattered, lives lost, will power was dashed, prayer became uninterested, everyone was at the edge. Life became meaningless, I was not motivated anymore, cries of sorrow started to roll, it looks as if hot iron was pierced into my heart. Laid down refusing any words of hope.it took hours before rising from bed and begin to analyze what just happened.

Then the inner voice led me to pick a book on the shelve HARD CHOICES by Hillary Rodham Clinton I open to any page of interest continue reading where I think I stopped then Hillary began to talk, "In August 2008, after the end of my Presidential campaign, Netanyahu came to see me in my Senate office on the Third Avenue in New York. He said after being voted out he received some advice from Prime Minister Magaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady herself, "ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED".Now he was giving me the same advice said, Hilary. A few months later when President-elect Obama first said the words "Secretary of State" to me. I thought back to what Bibi Netanyahu had predicted.

Suddenly a ray of hope, the spirit became lighted, darkness disappear, was led to the book and the word ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED JUMPED OUT. I was instantly elated, hopeful, and begin to chant the word. And truthful the UNEXPECTED happens, The people burst into a gigantic warehouse where lots for the whole community is hiding. A momentary joy exudes the people,  strength came back, here come hope again.

Now, my soul why are thou disquieted in me, why are you sorrowful, HOPE AGAIN FOR GOD WILL COME TRUE FOR US. MY SOUL DO NOT REMAIN IN THE PIT OF SORROW, ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.
