History made known to us that there were economic downturns. recorded during different ages and regimes of rulers. There has always been famine in the Land right from the days of Abraham. The bad economy has caused many to flee their land for another. Naomi flees with her family who in the end lost their lives. It caused women to forsake their children. where people mortgage their freedom. vineyards, their houses, and fields in exchange for grains.

According to the world bank research Prospects Group. The world economy has experienced four global recessions over the past seventy years. since 1950, in 1975, 1982, 1991, and 2009. In each of these episodes, there was a contraction in annual real per capita global GDP. It means there was a financial crisis, which took a heavy toll on emerging economies. Per capita growth turned negative in some advanced economies. with the rise in global inflation, oil price shock, and debt crisis in different nations.

What is happening now is not NEW. The economic downturns have taken their toll both in circular and Christian history. This might look different, more devastating, but under the SAME GOD. whose promises remain true and power is unchanging.

Psalm 33:18 &19. behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him. on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. You need to be steadfast in your work. Whatever your hand finds doing, do it with all your heart. Study to shew yourself approved. Study the word of God. Study your profession. Study by yourself to improve yourself. Study the time you are in so on applying your heart to wisdom. You‘ve got a lot of studying to do so that you will be diligent. This time will happen but there is a provision for you.

Goshen happens to be the place where the people of God dwell. Egypt gets plagued due to Pharaoh's stubbornness. The Lord made a difference in the land of Goshen. and the Egyptians so that no swarms of flies will be in Goshen, that you may know that I am the LORD amid the earth.Thus I will put a division between my people and your people. Tomorrow this sign will happen. And the LORD did so. Exodus 8:22

There is no denial over the crash on nations’ economies. Health and well-being. high rate in foreign exchanges. lifestyle diminishes, unemployment, bad government, bandits, and insurgents ravaging the society. They are real but what is more real, true, authentic, and lasting is the word of God. God the Father declares that he has exalted his WORD even above his name. And God watches over His word to perform. It might look as if the situation will override the word but when you stand strong you always win.

There is a high rate of the spirit of fear and selfishness working together. It is a global phenomenon. if you do not take charge of your spirit and dwell in the word you will accommodate such vices. It is a wake-up call. The downturns are inevitable globally but you can have a paradigm shift in your mindset. It's either you allow the word of God to rule and guide your heart. or allow the news and happenings around the world to dictate your faith. Choose this day why whom or what you want to believe.
