THE LORD'S TABLE SHOULD get KEPT SACRED.



What you must realize is that every time you eat this bread and every time you drink this cup. You reenact in your words and actions the death of the Master. You will get drawn back to this meal again and again until the Master returns. It would help if you never let familiarity breed contempt. 1COR 11:26 (message version)

Familiarity is an attitude that makes you get used to things or people you hold in high esteem. so much so that you lose regard and respect for such.

You're advised as a Christian. not to come to the Lord's table with the familiarity that disrespects, what our Lord did on the cross. That is when you come to the table hungry, taking holy communion without faith.

You can get so familiar with God. And you come to the table right from the position of sinning without repentance. Let it not be that the candle of your spirit gets put off and gets your body full of darkness. Let it not be that your heart gets occupied with the affairs of this world. And approach with no faith in your hearts.

Hebrew 11:6
It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe that he exists. And that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

You should approach the Lord's communion. As Christians with respect and faith. In awe of what our master did for us. It ought to be in focus and center-mindedness on what he paid to achieve what we are enjoying now.

You ought to come with boldness, not fear. A double minded gets nothing. A doubting mind will leave with no blessings.

You ‘were advised to come with so much appreciation. And faith to acknowledge that he deserves all the honor. His promises must be with the utmost regard. Be convinced that what he has done has produced great blessings. DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME. said our Lord.

When you come in any other form that falls short of belief and respect. your coming becomes a familiar occurrence that breeds contempt.
