MIST is the cloudy atmosphere that can surface during a season called harmattan in some areas. There could be a misty atmosphere during snowing periods in other areas. It limits visibility to a large extent than fog. , with visibility remaining above 1km. It could be hazardous to drive in.

MIST is inevitable in those seasons of weather. Some can be very thick and make you drive with utmost care. You might need to park the car if it has become unbearable to avoid a fatal accident.

We call some thick mist when it becomes impenetrable. Very cloudy and make it impossible to see through. And with all the light you might be carrying. It could be an impossible task.
