LIMITLESS MONDAY ; IT IS A MUST TO GROW YOURSELF

LIMITLESS MONDAY
IT IS A MUST TO GROW YOURSELF

On a hot afternoon in Lagos, I was at a supermarket to do my usual supply to the store. While waiting on the floor, the senior management of the supermarket came in through the front door and met one of his staff restocking the shelves. He jokingly told the staff, oh!! My first staff member in the store who should have been the manager by now. And he walked by.

I engaged the staff in conversation, which resulted in his mind being open to seeing why he is not considered the manager. It is due to the unavailability of some skills. I said if it's a certification issue, he should go to school and add to his certificate by studying more. The incident is merely an unpreparedness for life, losing an opportunity.

There is always a time in life when you need to grow and grab the opportunity. But when you fall out, it is like missing the road to your destination. It has to be intentional. Growing is leaving a level to move to another level: the yardstick that increases your influence and your positioning for success.

You must get to that point when you get tired of where you are. You become hungry and desire a lift at one thing for yourself. To expand your horizon, increase your growth in all areas.
Your exposure, and your present position. You want more. The only person that gives such approval is you.

You do not live for someone's validation. You should live for the impact you want to make to achieve in producing the leaders you want to put in place.

Growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will be alright. You have to be intentional about it. Will you be ready to unlearn what is not producing? The assumption is the belief that you think you will grow. You live by assumption. You think you will get better. That will be a disappointment.

What are you doing to grow? Is it that you are only assuming? You need to have a plan. Constant growth is making way for opportunity. It prepares you for the best that is about to knock at your door.

You need to know which area of your life you want to grow. You should improve your speech ability. Your discipline in keeping to words and clock, and your relationship strength. Your English, your leadership skills. We are imperfect beings walking towards perfection.

You fine-tune your skills by getting into the school you must attend or online, getting the books you must read, and learning from a mentor. Another thing to do is to practice your skills with someone else. If you do not listen well to others, try and look for someone to listen to. You must always take time to reflect on how far you have gone. How better you have become.
