THE CEO MUST CONTINUE TO SELL.
Sales are the wheel that drives your business. If any aspect should monitored by the CEO, it is sales. I have come to understand that no one will drive sales like you. Your business is relevant because your products and services are still needed.
Sales is that revenue that keeps the business going. It is the source that provides for payment of your overheads, and how your lifestyle gets funded. You use the sales revenue to reinvest back into the business. Salaries and expenditures are afloat through income.
At a stage, some owners of businesses go to sleep. They assume the staff has gotten hold of it and never checked back to know about the operation. There comes a time when you have capable hands and the company has gotten expansion.
At this stage. the sales affairs get handed over to specific departments in the organization. The sales robe should never get let down completely. Learn to peep into sales because you have the majority of answers your clients will ask.
I remember when someone working with me could not explain to customers why we had to increase prices. I intervened by giving due answers at the right time to the customer. We would have lost such an opportunity.
CEO should schedule meetings with big organizations that patronize on a bigger scale. You should maintain a great relationship that will continue to foster growth. Some conversations are between the two CEOs. And that can only occur when you are still involved with marketing and sales.
When you are at the head of affairs, the staff gets tightened on their end. And becoming aware of how important sales revenue is to the company. Undue careless attitude will get guarded. The staff will keep your clients as important as your income.
