LIMITLESS MONDAY
EFFECTIVENESS and EFFICIENCY
Managers are fond of looking at statistics for the day and award you for how many grounds you cover. When you go out and can sell all the products you took, salesmen feel great.
Amid these achievements, no one is asking, How did you get them to be on your side? Should we expect them to come back for more? Will our product get recommended to another?. In the face of efficiency, management is not asking the appropriate questions. All the manager wants is for the product to sell and for numbers to increase.
While in the mode of effectiveness. We are looking at an officer who is more concerned with retaining customers. One that is getting the client to want more. and engaging the customer for more, and introducing them to another.
Effectiveness is far more desirable than Efficiency. You could work with the mindset of accomplishing or occupying more ground. Efficiency did not consider continuity or legacy. Effectiveness wants to have a stable team that works with vision and runs with Integrity. Create a path for subordinates to achieve greatness and solve problems without micromanaging.
Efficiency wants to run through the rules and regulations. The officer wants to work in line with the code of conduct. Wants accolades from everyone and to get seen by all. He doesn't care if the building collapses tomorrow. At least he has collected the raise. I have the awards, and the MD has seen me.
Effective staff build to last. Build to raise leaders who take over after them and keep the flag flying for many years. The effective leader does things that surpass. And speak on after the existing leader has come and gone
Some have the physical to get the job done, even if it only lasts a day, we make that kind of sales. But the effective salesman creates a path. Bring forth a template where the wells do not go dry and generations drink from and birth an empire.
The time is now. Human resources should stop applauding efficient staff. Whose intention is only to answer yes to all and sundry. And run around beating the air without concrete changes.
We should start training effective leaders. Who causes the young to grow? giving them room to stretch and expand. And build a lasting, standing conglomerate that will compete. The standard is instilled from the outset.
